| Holy crap i'm already back, i've never felt so weird in my life as i do now being home, FRICK! That was the craziest, funnest, awkwardest, hardest, best two years of my life, i'm so glad i went, i had alot of fun, met and helped alot of cool people, gained a strong testimony. | Hey everyone, well i got zero emails today so I have time to update! I got your two letters steph thanks! So I'm still in the four pack in Ferndale, but, i could be transfered out in a week, you never know, i have been here for about 4 1/2 months so that's normally when people get transfered, but I could get lucky and stay here another transfer, that would be rad, i like staying in areas for a long time, it's so cool getting to know the whole ward and getting framiliar with the area and building it up. The area is great right now, We baptized Rick Wood about a month ago, Lila Covington is getting baptized March 11th and we have alot of people on the horizon, i do not want to leave this place. This is my favorite ward, there are so many awesome people here. Anacortes is still my favorite area and I feel closer to the investigators there but i think there are alot more cool people in this ward. Man I can't wait to visit Anacortes, I don't know when that's going to happen, most likely sometime after the mission.
Man, I was pretty down the past month, what we'd call "trunky" when you're tired of the mission, the routine, the crappy people, you miss home and all you think about is home. That blows! It makes time go by so slow. I don't know what happend but a week ago I just totally got a boost of motivation, luckily I'm back into the swing of things now. I think part of what helped was Presdient Ashton showed up to a baptism that Elder Clayson had, and I was there, and he came up to me and started talking to me about stuff, just chit chatting and then right befor he left he threw in "Oh, Sampson, keep both feet in the mission untill you're done." I was totally suprised, how the heck did he know, this guy has the spirit of discernment for real! So after that and a couple other things I've been feeling alot better.
Anyways, after all that anti trunky talk, 8 months left, woohoo!! :) | | |
| Well, i thought i'd write a quick update. Things are going pretty good here in fernadale. We recently babtized a lady named Betty, she's way cool. Also, we had a mission wide contest to see who could hand out a b.o.m. in the most creative way, the 3 other missionaries in the four pack and I went out to a cetain busy area and we set up a "fishing booth" kind of like the ones you would see at the mormon carnivals back in the day and we'd have people "come fish for free prizes" as the signs would say. Little did they know the free prize was a B.o.M., we also gave them candy as well. It was way awesome. Well, out of the 150 missionaries here in everett, WE WON!!!! yesss!! So apparently we're going to get a prize sometime, still waiting.. but i don't care about the prize, it was so cool that we won. Anyways, what else, hmmm.. well alot of stuff goes on but it's probably boring to the non missionary though. There's your stupid update Ben, ya happy now!? later | | |
